<p>Shimmer & Shine... oh goodness.
</p><p>My personal opinion for this series is generally negative. I mean, it's kind of... <i>ok</i>. I was hyped to find out that Guru was making another Nickelodeon show possible.
</p><p>The protagonist, Leah, unrevealing-ly <i>"owns"</i> two genies... well, I don't know if I should say "own",...
</p><p>Anyways, there's always a pattern in each episode:
</p>
- Leah runs into a problem...
- She calls her two genies via - her neckless-lamp... thing... it's not even a lamp.
- She makes a wish...
- Shine always screws it up by mishearing Leah's wish, or taking it out of context, I mean, seriously. She wished for eggs, milk, and flour, and the genies wish up a chicken, a cow, and a basket full of flowers. They even made an <i>I Love Lucy</i> homage with a conveyer belt and the works.
- A lady sings a song about making mistakes, reusing the same footage and template... which felt really awkward for the beach episode.
- Wish #2, fails to grant it.
- Leah finally makes her third wish... then...
- dilema. She wasted a wish. SHE WASTED HER FINAL WISH.
- The singer sings a song about the dilema, and how working together can solve the problem.
- They ultimately get the <i>schtuff</i> done, and Leah ends with <i>"Our mistakes worked out great when we work together!"</i>
<p>
I mean seriouslyyyyyyyy, Leah needs to lay some ground rule. How can she not be upset when THEY WASTE THE LAST WISH? Any wish, anyways! Also, Leah's so sweet and forgiving, it makes me sick.
</p><p>(*boom* Oops, my mistake, Leah! I just pushed your mom down!
</p><p>That's ok, Shine. [insert a quote she said in every episode on how making mistakes can be ok])
</p><p>I mean, seriously. The most bad thing the genies do, she is sweet. Ugh.
</p><p>The show is... well, it's better than Little Charmers - all the characters have the same FACE.
